Episode 14 is the payoff fans have been waiting for: it finally pulls all the Gavans together and puts the story’s central mystery front and center. The episode opens with Wigless warning the higher-ups that “Aza Zoth” is more than just an enforcer, setting up a multiversal threat that requires their biggest operation yet. From there, the spotlight shifts to Multiverse Earth Λ8018 where Reiji, Setsuna, and Kunai clash with Death Gavan.

The big reveal lands when Death Gavan deactivates his V-Suit and unmasks as Tesshin Mikage, with Mikage inviting Reiji to “come with me, Infinity”. It’s a major plot turn that also debuted the Dark Gavarion Blade and pushed Reiji’s personal arc forward as he searches for the root of his emotions. The episode ends with the team chasing Mikage into Makuu Space, promising the long-teased Gavan All-Stars team-up.

Tonally, this is one of the series’ strongest entries so far. DryedMangoez calls it “a good episode” that’s strongest when focused on Reiji’s backstory and resolve, even if the Tesshin/Death Gavan reveal hits harder for longtime toku fans familiar with Ray Fujita than for newcomers. The episode balances exposition with momentum: we get a clear antagonist, Reiji moves closer to understanding his power, and the gang is finally assembled.
